Beautiful piece of wood for the stock. Wood to metal fit very good. Very good metal finishing. I had a problem with the rear sight (windage-10″ off at 50 yds.). Contacted Taylor’s and sent it back to them for exchange. Seems the holes for the leaf pin were not drilled perpendicular to the base. A vast improvement in windage, however I suspect that the orientation of rear sight mounting holes and the front sight to the barrel is still somewhat off. The rifle will be used primarily in re-enactments so I guess I will live with “Kentucky windage” for occassional shooting.
