Much to say.. The Vltor is shorter than my old commercial 6 position which measured 11 1/16″ compared to the Vltors 5 position at 9 15/16″ measured rear of castle nut to rear of buttpad at top. I have long reach and the shorter Vltor has created a new condition that I am finding superior with range time. The Vltor has a superior cheek weld over my previous Magpul MOE and shot groups have tightened maybe due to lateral stability in use. There is more storage than listed. Four 123 li-ion batteries fit flush to the tubes entrance. This means 3 5/8 battery length enters the tube. I placed a cotton ball in first to take up this space and dampen shot vibrations. Weight on the Imod is among the lighter stocks and is listed as 9.4 ounces yet this is a tank in its build. This kit was very quick to install and at the range the “sprong” creates a solid clack as carrier seats. A little lithium grease on the buffer spring greatly reduces “sprong”. From an asthetic standpoint the carbine is balanced with the Imod though…
