Well after many tries with many aftermarket stocks for my remington 597 22 lr I did find the ONE! The archangel promag was so easy that if I had not given one last chance it fit so easy that now I wish I had another just to see if it was just by chance and to customer service you all were more than helpful thanks again!

It took about an hour to fit this to my 597 WMR. First, the forward screw hole did not line up and required enlarging. Then, the top rail would not go on until I managed to get the front screw mostly in and push very hard to start the back one.
The result is a very snug fit, but the front part of the mag release is partially covered.
That I will tackle another day since disassembly and reassembly is required to cut away some material.
