This is a great kit. I think it is for an intermediate skill level and up. There is, as expected, quite a bit of sanding and wood finishing to achieve the final product. I used a darker wood stain (espresso) and got a wonderful, dark colored appearance. I have taken this to the range a few times and it fires great.
