This kit is not for the basic or beginner enthusiast. There is a considerable amount of sanding, filing, and fitting that needs to be done. I would say clearly more than your average rifle build kit. It was surprising to me to have NOT a Traditions kit shipped but a Chiappa kit instead. Don’t know whats up with that. In any case, the amount of work required for this rifle is significant. I have found ongoing problems with the lock mechanism requiring me to look for a gunsmith to complete the work. I’m not happy with the overall finished product.
