    The Super Redhawk has what I like to call a “post-modern-industrial” look to it. It’s a big, bad revolver, that’s for sure. The chambers are just slightly generous, so that it will take rounds with slightly oversized cast bullets. For those who cast, this is an important point in the SRH’s favor. The trigger, while not gritty, is looooong, so it’s a good “workout gun” for dry-firing to improve trigger finger condition. Basically, it’s a traditional Ruger DA revolver trigger. 🙂 The revolver shoots right where you point it, and this, the .454 Casull version, will take full-house .454 Casull without problems. It’s built for that. I shoot a “.45 Colt Magnum” loading out of it, which is basically the Ruger-T/C loads from the reloading manuals. This revolver takes those without even breathing hard. It’s pretty well overbuilt in fine Ruger tradition. The scope rings work very well. They are the Ruger dovetail type and hold a scope securely. If you want a lightweight revolver…this ain’t it.
