I’m giving this Lyman Tang sight a 3.5 star rating because it’s not adjustable for windage, but to do so I’m having to round it up to 4 stars. Back in the old days Lyman made an exceptional windage adjustable tang sight for the Winchester lever action rifles, and like others I wish they would bring that sight back to market. So, if you get this sight you’ll want to also find a windage adjustable front sight to put with it, such as a vintage or replica Beach windage adjustable sight or perhaps a vintage or replica front globe sight. Otherwise, you’ll have to install this tang sight and then adjust your front sight for windage on a calm day and then have to add some Kentucky windage guesstimates on windy days. In those circumstances, the Columbia and Marbles tang peep sights are far superior. Overall, this sight is well made and I like the fact that both screw holes are round instead of the Marbles design which has one round and one slotted. The sight does not have windage and I knew if up front when I purchased it but will not buy another Lyman sight. The pluses for the sight it comes with mounting bolts.
