I bought this stock for my Rem. 700 Short Action ADL .308 26″ heavy barrel rifle. The factory stock had to go, it was way too cheap. I wanted a solid stock, but didn’t want to pay top dollar for the small amount of shooting I do with this rifle. My 700 dropped into this Boyds’ stock perfectly. No adjustments and I slide a dollar bill in between the stock and barrel up to the chamber. This stock is solid and has a good feel. For the money you can’t go wrong with this stock.

This stock was to fit a Remington 700 ADL Short Action with a Heavy Barrel?? I had to do extensive sanding in the barrel channel & around the trigger guard before I achieved “drop in status”. After I did quite a bit of sanding the rifle looks great. I would not reccomend this stock to anyone unless they had the ability and tools to make it fit!
