   Disappointed Buyer – April 12, 2013

   As advertised this stock is not a drop in, it needs some fitting. That I can understand as you can’t expenct one stock to fit every model 700 in every caliber perfectly.
   My main issue is with the overall workmanship of the stock. Some of things I noticed right away:
   – rubber butt pad seam is extremely rough, with large uneven chunks of composite material around the edge
   – uneven coloring over the whole stock with some shiny areas, and some really dull areas
   – sling attach points are put in crooked
   – trigger cutout is slightly offcenter. Trimming it to fit would result in a large gap between the trigger guard and the stock on one side
   – interior channel cutouts are extremely rough with uneven lines and surfaces.
   I’m sure the aluminum bedding is a nice upgrade to the factory composite stock, but judging just by looks, this Bell and Carlson is definately a step down.

   This stock replaced the polymer stock on my brothers 700ADL. It is slightly lighter and I liked the pillar block bedding. I did have to remove a significant amount of material to fit the barrel. Also applied a sealer to this area because it appears it may absorb water.
