I was a little hesitant to purchase such a short barreled .44, but I was not disappointed. This revolver has quite a bark. The recoil isn’t as bad as some others may have suggested. I purchased the Buffalo bore 340 +p+ rounds as more of a joke with the thought it would be too hot of a load to handle. After shooting both that and the Buffalo bore 305 grain, I’d have no troubles carrying the 340 +p+ round. It’s increase in recoil is noticeable, but manageable in my opinion. Overall, it is a very well built, solid, smooth functioning revolver. I have no regrets and will carry it with complete confidence.
