I bought the kit and tried it first on a 5 1/2 in Ruger Vaquero. There is a modest amount of file work involved (I got the free-spin pawl at the same time) to get everything in synch. But, the overall quality and fit are as advertised. The removal and replacement of the main spring was problematic (Ruger has a spring compressor, as I’m told now!) and the new trigger spring is WAY too light a release for my tastes. Power includes an easy fix/mod for the stock trigger spring that suits me better. The hammer has NEVER FAILED to hit hard enough to detonate CCI primers (some of the hardest) since the change to the lightest main spring. Overall it has really improved the performance of the gun…to the point that I did the same mod to my other Vaquero.I’m very happy with it! Also, I’m NOT a gunsmith and if I can do this, so can you. Just keep track of the mainspring keeper when it flies across the room the first time LOL.
