It does change the action as stated, and would be great for competition and target but would not recommend for carry/self defense. The sear/break is so light its almost not noticable. Does bring your finger forward and reduces the pull. Also does clean up any grit making the trigger very light and very clean. Way too light and it shocks my finger.
I put everything back to original then the bar allowed the trigger to extend past the trigger stop and got stuck… So I kept the Apex trigger only itself and returned everything else to original resolving the issue. Well I wanted to try it and concluded that it really isn’t necessary especially considering that these newer 2.0’s have much better triggers than their predecessors.

I replace any trigger I can with an Apex. S&W should save me time and money and just install these from the beginning.
