The gun is a joy to shoot. Minimal recoil and low noise profile (relative to ARs) but still gets the 45 ACP moving. I zeroed my EOTECH EXPS2-2 at 50 yards about 2 years ago. To this day, it is probably one of my most reliable and accurate guns inside of 100 yards. The 45 ACP hits hard on target, but is also bolstered by the additional barrel length. I reload and rounds producing around 800-850 fps in a 5-6″ pistol are achieving around 950-1000 fps out of the USC’s 16″ barrel. Given the H&K quality, I would not worry about putting some +P rounds through this barrel.
Another thing to be said for this gun is, it loves to shoot dirty. After over 1000 rounds of 45 ACP, using CFE Pistol, Accurate No. 7, or Winchester 572 powders, along with some factory loads, this gun continued to perform without failure and shoots as accurately despite the carbon buildup.
Although H&K only makes 10 round mags for these guns, Promag makes a nice 20 round mag for it that works without converting to UMP, etc. So i…
