Bought my Chiappa M1-22 from Midway. I wasnt expecting much from a low cost .22. Initially, its a very cheap feeling firearm, almost like an airsoft gun. Everything is nylon plastic. Fit and finish is nice though. It does replicate the look of a M1 Carbine well. It was fun to shoot and a great plinking gun ~ Sadly after the first 100 rounds problems became rampant!!! Light primer strikes every other round and trigger malfunctions to the point the gun is almost unusable. The trigger needs to be pulled and released repeatedly to fire. Disassembled, inspected and cleaned – still same results. Chiappa has the most pathetic guarantee on a firearm ive ever seen – requiring >> YOU < < to work with the dealer you bought it from for gunsmithing service. They make it almost impossible to send it in for manufacturing defects keeping them from having any accountability for a cheap/substandard firearm.
First and last Chiappa I ever buy.
