Mine is a 308. I’ve owned it for 15 years. I’ve owned and hunted with 15 other big game rifles of various actions, calibers, and brands during that time as well. The BAR was and is my favorite of them all.
It carries well, is easy to handle, it also outshoots all the other rifles I’ve ever shot, with 1-2″ groups at 200 yards. Mine originally had iron sights and shot well with them but I removed the sights and put a Nikon scope on it. Someday it will be passed on to one of my kids.
And if I could buy but one firearm? I’d get another one of these.
