Bell and carlson tikka stock

Bell and carlson tikka stock Medalist were designed from the ground up to help maximize a rifle’s performance by providing a rock-solid, ergonomic firing platform incorporating the accuracy enhancing characteristics demanded by today’s serious shooters and the resilience necessary for use in extreme environmental conditions. All Medalist stocks are constructed of solid structural urethane combined with aramid, graphite and fiberglass materials to enhance strength.

A precision, CNC-machined aluminum bedding block makes contact with the full length of the rifle’s action, ensuring a perfect metal-to-metal fit as well as aligning the barreled action, stiffening the forend, and eliminating the need for conventional bedding methods. Medalist stocks come complete with a premium Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, front & rear sling swivel studs and a textured exterior surface. Stock comes with a lifetime factory warranty on materials and workmanship.

All Bell and Carlson stocks, unless indicated otherwise, are designed to permit the customer to simply remove the barreled actiuon from the original stock and bolt it into the Bell and Carlson stock. However, because of variations in manufacturers’ original equipment or variations in the model, it may be necessary to remove minimal material from the magazine and/or barrel channel area.

Notes:

This stock is designed to fit Right Hand Tikka T3 and T3x Rifles with a Standard Contour Barrel. Fits Hunter, Hunter Stainless, Lite, Lite Stainless, Camo Stainless, and Laminated Stainless T3 models. Stock has no checkering and comes with an integrated cheekpiece.

I was in the market for a Tikka 3 with a laminated or wood stock in 25-06 for my daughter. I wanted the wood or laminated version because of the recoil reducing added weight, but I could not find one for sale anywhere. So I bought the Tikka lite in composite and ordered a Bell and Carson stock to add some weight. I received the gun the day before the stock arrived. I wanted to shoot the gun with the orginal stock; therefore, I loaded up a variety of ammunition and headed to the range. The gun exceeded my expectations with several groups averaging around a half inch. The stock arrived the next day, and it fit perfect. I wondered if it would affect the accuracy, so I headed to the range. I shot one group because of a time restraint. The three shot group with 117 Gamekings shot in a perfect triangle that measured less than an quarter inch. What more could anyone ask for?

I should have guessed that because there is no mention of the newer T3X model that it would have an aluminum recoil lug. It is also machined out of the bedding block so there is no way to replace it with a steel one. There is also a problem with the base plate-trigger guard not fitting unless you trim a pin off. The groove for the barrel isn’t straight either. On my stainless lite model the is a very noticeable difference in the gap around the barrel from one side to the other. At this price I expected a better fit especially when it says you might void the warranty if you remove material from the stock.
