The debate, orange or yellow. Decided on the yellow version because the contrast seems slightly less than the orange variant. Most my regular sights have been painted fluorescent yellow so this is a color I’m more accustomed to. I like it. I’m accustomed to the white outline of the Mepro’s vials but adapting isn’t difficult.
The big outline is easy to pick-up and the U notch allows me to settle it in position. Easy to adjust for various hold positions based on the space in the notch or lining it up across the top. Very quick sighting.
Installing on the HK P2000 was very smooth. A few swipes with some 600 grit paper on the surface plate to verify flatness was all that was necessary. First time with Trijicon and the hollow base allows for some compression so the sights went into the HK with mild effort using the Wheeler sight installer.
