The iconic .44 magnum round demands recognition as a notoriously devastating projectile. NOTE: If you are recoil sensitive, continue to search elsewhere. The Taurus Tracker .44 magnum is a very well crafted and critically accurate at 20 yards (my usual practice distance). As a double action revolver, the dead hammer is stout and the hammer in battery is light and crisp, no guess work here. The molded rubber grip does not replace the quality of Hogue; however, it does absorb a lot of the recoil and soften the palm stress. With adjustable rear sight for elevation and windage, every shooter, with practice and bullet grain evaluation can fine tune the sight and strike. Easy to carry, easy to conceal. IMO, very well worth the money and the investment to aid in your self protection and that of your loved ones and property.

I’ve had this revolver since 2014. Its probably had a little over 1,200 rounds through it (mostly cast 44 special). Sometime in the first 3 years I owned it the cylinder fell off and I had to send it back to Taurus for repair.
I ended up upgrading to another .44 mag revolver but couldn’t bring myself to sell or trade this gun. It now spends most of its time either in a 4 wheeler bag, boat, camper or truck. It’s almost more comforting to have a cheaper revolver that you know will be accessible when you need it than a safe queen you’re reluctant to put mileage on.
If you have problems, chances are Taurus will make it right. Just be ready to be patient while it gets worked on.
