The rod length is perfect, the action good.
But, the ad picture showed the double cork handle. It arrived one one hand. The 3 stars is really on Midway not St. Croix.
After checking St. Croix web site the one hand handle is all that is made in the 5’6″ rod. I would have went with the 6′ had I known but I went by what you had posted.
Grandson was Disappointed.

I was looking for a graphite back bay salt water rod to pair up with my old school PENN conventional level wind reel. This rod is very sensitive, works well with up to 2 1/2 ozs of weight and will handle any size flounder I run into. The 6′ length is compact enough to work well in my 17′ center consul boat. The trigger handle has a nice feel to it . Spooled with braided line, I can feel the lightest bites at any tide stage. St Croix rods are well built and last forever. You get what you pay for.
