I’m a huge Savage fan but this rifle exceeded even my expectations! The legendary 110 factory blueprinted action mated to the Proof Research barrel had me shooting 1/2 MOA on the first box of factory ammo while sighting in. Where it really shines though is when I pick it up off the bench. It’s not just the light weight but the incredible balance that makes it a joy to shoulder and shoot. It comes up quickly and smoothly. I was worried that recoil would be a problem chambered in 30-06, but the generous butt pad and Goldilocks AccuStock made my fears melt away. Add the industry-best AccuTrigger (mine weighed in at 2.2 pounds out of the box) and you have the best complete package mountain rifle available. I can’t wait to get it out in the woods!
