Day after day for years now I have carried the 3″ barreled LCRx in .38 Special. It is light weight, durably finished, easy to shoot controlably, accurate, and always ready to protect the innocent. I have handled, shot, sold & purchased S&W and Ruger revolvers since 1970. No, the LCRx is no Python but it is the equal of any other revolver I have
ever shot (including Kimbers & Dan Wessons). I have better double action target & snapshooting drill results with this pistol than any other pocket size handgun, revolver or pistol I have used. I selected the “X” version, their second generation LCR because of the exposed trigger and my habit of single action fire on precision stages BUT the DA trigger results are better than the SA performance. Then I bought a .22 copy of the exact LCRx 3″ for practice with less “bang,” less expense and more rounds down range. It’s perfect and serves well for coaching others too.
