    My shooting buddy and I both bought one of these in 7 Rem Mag. (Serial numbers only 40 apart). Our thinking was that the Bell & Carlson stock and the action were worth about what we paid and we would get rid of the barrels and rebarrel. Both rifles shoot sub half MOA with hand loads with the factory barrels. We bought these in 7 RM because we wanted to shoot the newer 7mm match bullets with the high ballistic co efficients at one mile. So far we have shot milk jugs at 1680 yards using both 162 and 180 bullets. Our concern was that the 9 1/4 twist would not stabilize the 180’s but pushing them at 2910 fps they are stable at that range. The trigger is a lawyer trigger and both were replaced on our rifles. The recoil lug was not in contact with the stock on either rifle. We bedded the action on both rifles and had the muzzles threaded for muzzle brakes. Both locking lugs on one of the rifles were in more or less even contact, but the other rifle needed to have the lugs lapped in. Should perform even bet…

    Gun would not chamber a round without considerable pressure. I had to send it back to Remington so they could finish reeming the chamber. It should never have left the factory, that says a lot about their quality control. One plus is they stood behind their product and made it right.
