Great product! This product allowed me to put an “11 degree” target crown on my 243 after I had shortened the barrel a couple of inches. The rifle now shoots MUCH tighter groups. After an initial finish with 600 grit paper, I completed the job with a Dremel buffer and some J.B. bore polish paste. Mirror-like finish -not a scratch or irregularity anywhere. As long as you get your barrel vertical and well clamped, this is the best you could do without a lathe.

This product works very well when you get the right pilots. It will not work on 22 rim fire rifles with the bushings that it is shipped with. You will need to call PTG to get the correct pilot which are $8 plus shipping. They recommended a 0.2148″ bushing for tight bore 22 rim fire barrels such as Lilja and others. It would have been nice to know that it will not work, but I should have measured the bore diameter and know that prior to placing my order.
