There were a few problems with the gun. Both of the brass bushings in the grip have wood varnish stained on them. Grips are not fitted to the frame at all. Small chip in the brass trigger guard. Timing between the cylinder and barrel isn’t perfect but acceptable. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

External finish, good. Grip fit, good. Action functioning, not so good. Not because of poor parts fit, but rather because of lack of “final fit & finish”. When letting the hammer down under control, the bolt stop dropped down and the cylinder back rotated slightly. I assessed this as due to being new and that normal use would “wear parts in”. But that didn’t happen. When firing, it fired fine, but letting the hammer down under control still resulted in back rotation of the cylinder. After an appropriate time for “wearing in”, took things apart. The hammer stud that operates the bolt stop had a full circumference burr. Half a dozen strokes with a gunsmithing file and the burr was gone. The bolt stop legs had sharp edges also. “Melted” the sharp edges and reassembled. Bolt stop still drops under control about 20% of the time, but without any back rotation of the cylinder. “Wearing in” in a timely fashion is now viable. 4 stars because it is what I wanted and looks good, and shoots well, but for someone who d…
