I finally wore out the hammer and sear assembly on my Colt MKIV Series 70 pistol I’ve had for 25 years. I didn’t want to fuss with fitting new components and was pleased to learn about the Nighthawk Drop-In Trigger Assembly. Although about twice as expensive as other options, the unit dropped right into place and worked well from the get-go. The only thing that would make me give it five stars is if the thumb safety didn’t require fitting. The safety works, but it needs filing for a perfect fit. As of yet I haven’t done that, I’m just working it back and forth to help seat it. I would recommend this product.

This product would not just drop in as advertised. There is a grip safety issue with a Springfield 1911. Took it to my gunsmith when I could not get it to work and he had to order a new grip safety from Wilson combat in order for it to work. I have no doubt the quality of nighthawk custom is superior and that’s why I bought this product so I’m disappointed that I could not install it myself as advertised but I feel the product is high quality and it will perform Superior once we have it back together
