The tool is very versatile, but the way the slide is held on the sides and top and not the bottom are a little lacking. It does not use a hold down from the bottom as do some of the higher priced tools. This can be a problem with stubborn sight removal. It is built very robust in some areas, except the screw that actually does the work of moving the sight. It is vastly undersized. while I love the fact it is made in the USA, it’s just a little lite for the heavy work.

I have a Springfield Armory XDM, 45 caliber. Everything I read said that the Springfields were the worst ones to change the rear sight on. I had no problems changing the rear and the front sights out.
