I use this for lake fishing from a boat with a Scientific Anglers Cold 25 sink tip 5 wt line. Rod has excellent feel and casts and works great. I had another one of these that somehow got broken. Fennwick warranty may not be worth much. Their website says they will give a discount on a new rod if the damage is the owners fault and not a factory defect, but they never responded to my inquiry about a replacement rod. Although I could recommend this rod, because of this I would get an ECHO Carbon XL if I had to do it again.
