Love this gun. I got lucky and found below MSRP on a different site about 2 years ago. I’ve since put over 2,000 rounds through it and I am impressed every time I take it to the range. Very cool look but so much more – the gun shoots terrific! Very accurate out to 25 yards (the farthest at my local indoor range) and extremely reliable. I had a few feeding issues towards the beginning but I’m 99% certain that was due to me breaking in new, non-factory, magazines. In my last 1,000 rounds I’ve probably only had about 3-5 failures of any kind (all feeding issues that were easily cleared). I’ve used amount 6 different types of ammo in this including several HPs and all have fed reliably. Like most 1911s, recoil is extremely manageable, even with loads on the hotter side.
I take extra care of this beauty and wipe it down after range sessions but I am happy with how the finish has held up. It’s a shame most people that get this gun probably won’t shoot it but I’m here to let you know, if you do decid…
