    I purchased my MC Nelly carbine locally, because Midway didn’t have any in stock. I was reluctant to buy the rifle because of many complaints I heard of Armi San Marco/Chappaqua products. However a gentleman at the range showed me his rifle and let me shoot it. I was sold at that point. My local dealer only had 2 and both were beautiful. They both had beautiful stocks and the bluing was impeccable. The bluing was a deep blue like that of old Belgian Browning. She shoots wonderfully and is very accurate at 100yds. I will say the sights are very difficult to see with my 70 year old eyes but, they are historically correct. The rear sights have very small and shallow V. I have now mounted a Marble improved tang sight and now I can shoot without a problem. The gun is historically accurate and is almost identical to the one on display at the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco. My only disappointment is not being able to find one in 50-70 Govt. Apparently Cimarron stopped importing it in 50-70. I would highly recommen…
