I bought this this to go with my Henry 44-40, I love it. This gun was so smooth wright out of the box, like I shot it 5,000 times. One word of caution, my reloads that funtion flawlessly in the Henry, did not fit in the Cimarron. The tolerance in the Cimarron is tighter. It was totally my bad, I didn’t have the resizing die adjusted properly.

This gun has a good finish. The bluing is nice and the color case Hardened frame is OK, a few strange blemish’s. The action in this gun is tight and solid. The trigger pull is heavy, but I expected this. It shoots as I expected, Shoots a few inches high and to the left and groups well.
Now for the negative issues with this gun. The metal to metal fit where the trigger guard and where the backstrap meet the frame is not a good fit at all, both protrude past the frame resulting in sharp edges. Also, the right side of the grip where the grip meets the top of the backstrap, the finish has some chips in it.
These issues are not deal breakers for me in buying this gun, but I think for a firearm close to the $500 dollar range there should have been better quality control. I have other handguns that cost less than this one and have excellent metal to metal fit.
