The cylinder rod is almost impossible to pull out and once out it’s impossible to slide it back in bc it does not line up with the hole in the back. Either a bend rod or a frame miss alignment . Either way, a none usable revolver. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning it.
This is a tremendous disappointment with MidwayUSA. I’ve been a good steady customer with them. I cannot believe that they shipped this revolver completely unchecked.

This is my fourth Cimmaron firearm and my third purchase from MidwayUSA. This 1858 is flawlessly manufactured. The nickel plated finish is flawless. The walnut grips are beautifully fitted with no gaps. I was able to remove the cylinder and re-install with no issues. All my Cimmaron firearms are beautifully crafted and shoot straight with no issues. My 1873 Uberti Cattleman (the manufacturer of the Cimmaron firearms) in .44 Mag is 45 years old and still works like new. These are well-made firearms and meticulously reproduced from original prints.
