I have a Gen 2 Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. It came with a Key Mod handguard. The supplied picatinny rail would loosen up with my bipod attached after two or three shots no matter how much I would adjust or tighten it. I’ve done some research, and other people have run into this problem as well. Our local club has some PRS shooters who put on a class and they all had chassis rifles with the Arca rail. They seemed very pleased with that system. So I was excited when I found this handguard on Midway’s web site. I watched the installation video off of Catalyst Arms web site. I was prepared to take off the factory nuts holding my handguard on, and install their nuts and having to line it up and torque it properly. I even bought leather filled elbow shooting pads to put in my vise so I wouldn’t scratch my rifle and I could put some force on it. I’m not sure if Catalyst Arms supplied their system to Ruger or if there is some common attachment system for AR style handguards but the factory nut was exac…
