First of all I need to say I really like the overall balance of the B&C stocks, they are about as close as you can find to the old KS Mountain Rifle stocks Remington used plus they are a great fit on the 1st Gen Ti rifle.But, it seems that the ones coming direct from B&C are maybe lacking in the quality control area. I have ordered 3 of these stocks, and I know it says will need fitting, but on all 3 stocks, the pillars would not align with the action screws which is a big issue. The stocks all weighed much more than stated, the 3 weighed from a low of 26.9ozs to a high of 29ozs. Also, on one stock the inlet around the bolt handle was much bigger than it should be so the fit to the action was not great. I’m quite disappointed in the quality of these, seems the Alaskan Ti stocks that are inlet in BDL do not suffer these same problems.

I bought this stock for a remington 700 sps in 7mm-08. I absolutely couldn’t stand the flimsy, hollow factory stock. I expected that fitting the stock would take some time and paitence, and it did. However, slow removal of material using inletting gold as a guide provided a great finished product. Finally, I glass bedded the action. I could not be happier with the stock. I ended up with a rifle with improved accuracy and looks great. It is sturdy, light, fits me well, and looks great. If you are converting a bdl style rifle to this adl stock you will need to order the middle action screw, a trigger guard, magazine box, and the mag box tab screw.
