I purchased one of these uppers for a 5.45mm gun. The finish was soft and came right off where the bolt carrier rides. Adams made it good, the replacement was as good as any I have ever used. It took a while, a couple of months but considering the buying frenzy underway the delay was understandable. Adams is a young company and evidently got burned by a vendor. They won’t talk about it but it’s not hard to piece the facts together. I don’t see how they or anyone else could have done better under the circumstances. Given Adams’ integrity backed up by Midway’s customer service you can’t go wrong.
